What Does Commando Football Mean To You: Hard Work, Respect, Having Fun

Nigel is coming off a big Junior year for the COMMANDOS, and is looking to improve in 2010.  Should be a leader for the teams’ 2010 campaign.  Will compete for starting positions at Receiver, Cornerback, Punt Returner, as well as Kickoff Returner.  Is working hard in the weightroom to improve size and strength.  He is the strongest current COMMANDO player pound for pound.

2009-Was a 2nd team All-County performer at receiver with 20 receptions for 393 yards and 4 TD's.  His longest reception of 90 yards from COMMANDO quarterback Hunter Brown versus Lebanon was the 2nd longest pass play in school history.  Nigel was also the teams punt returner, and was in the rotation in the defensive backfield at corner.  Caught passes in 9 of the COMMANDOS 11 games including leading the team in catches in 8 games, and lead team in receiving yards in 7 games.  Career high of 4 receptions came against Riverdale, and career high of 131 receiving yards came against Lebanon.  Scored receiving TD's versus Riverdale, Lebanon, Hunters Lane, and Beech.  Had 16 punt returns for 85 yards with 1 TD.  Career long punt return came in Station Camp game with a 43 TD return.  Had 3 kickoff returns for 50 yards.  Recorded 8 tackles on defense including a season high of 3 in Lebanon game, had 2 interceptions, 1 against Lebanon and 1 against Gallatin.  Also had 3 pass break ups.

2008-Saw game action in multiple games.  Ended season with 3 tackles, 1 interception, 1 forced fumble, and 2 punt returns for 6 yards.  Had a season best 2 tackles versus Dickson County, and also forced a fumble in that game; recorded 1 tackle in Antioch game; interception came against Glencliff; longest punt return of 4 yards came against Hillwood.  Was also a great practice player, and an important part of the JV team in for the COMMANDOS in 2008.

2007-Played Defensive Back, Split End, and Full Back for the Freshman team in 2007. Hard worker who plays bigger than he is and will always do whatever is asked of him.  Was also a member of the Track and Field team where he competed in the 300 meter hurdles, high jump, 800 meters, and the decathlon.
